someone's got to lose

it's not gonna be this girl, this time.

have you ever felt like everyone is watching and waiting just to see you lose? watching and waiting for you to make the wrong decision so they can prove they knew what was best all along?

i have.

and let me tell you, it sucks.

p.s. i may lose in the end... but at least i did my best. my little heart and i tried so hard to make the decision for ourselves despite what everybody else had to say. and let me tell you, making decisions on your own, when every other person (including those you know love you) are whispering their idea of a "solution" in your ear... is so. hard. the worst kind of hard; the kind of hard that makes your heart hurt.

i'm off to boston today!

i've never been to boston (nor have i been on a 5.5 hr plane ride) and i'm stoked! my talented big brother will be running in the boston marathon and my parents and i have the opportunity to go support him in that. after a fun few days in boston, we'll be going to paul's byu graduation. daaaaaang paul, taking all the spotlight ;) anyway, wanna hear why this trip is going to be so great? a. i get a break from work, b. my family gets to spend quality time with moi, c. i get to see my siblings i never get to see! (paul, juliedog, maybe court).

fun facts:

i got 1 hour and 5 minutes of sleep last night... and got to work at 6:25 this morning :|
marchetti is back from his mission.
i will not see milo for 9 whole days and that makes my heart hurt.
tonight is opening night for kacie's school play - i am so excited for her. she's one talented little thespian
stephan passed/completed nursing school!!!
i got andrew to get a pedicure with me yesterday. pictures to come ;)

well my friends, the next 8 days will be a splendor and i plan on enjoying every. single. minute. peace and blessings.

this has gotta be the good life.

in this very moment, i feel so happy. i don't even plan to ask why. i plan to listen to good music, work hard at work, smile at everyone that i come in contact with, say nice words and think even nicer thoughts. happiness has decided to come and go lately... but decided to stop by today for some reason and that makes me smile. thanks bud. you're welcome anytime.

ps. here are a few things that are making me smile during my happiness high this morning... (and no i don't mean literally high. guys, please..... it's 8 am ;) they're pretty random, but for some reason they're making me smile/laugh so hard it hurts. and that's the best kind of hurt.
